Hiring Local and/or Remote Video Editors

January 08, 2020 by Travis Gafford

Have you ever wanted to work for a growing YouTube channel in the COMPETITIVE VIDEO GAMING SPACE?! Wow, what a dream!

The massive esports conglomerate known as Travis Gafford Industries is looking for video editors. Initially we’ll be looking to work with you on a per project basis, though as time goes on the flow of work could become more consistent. For examples of our existing videos, checkout our channel.

This is a paid, entry-level position. We’re looking for folks based out of North America for time zone purposes. If you’re in Los Angeles, that’s a plus.

Responsibilities include:

  • Editing short and long-form videos for our YouTube channel

  • Coordinating with Brodin Plett (our creative director) and myself on edits

  • Potential work on bigger projects, dependent on proven competence

  • Making Travis look good

Perks include:

  • Get to level up your skills working with Brodin Plett (pictured above) who is a chill dude

  •  Disillusionment with the esports industry

  • Potential to grow with the channel and maybe, someday, if you're lucky - travel

Qualifications:

  • Experience editing in professional environments or for other channels

  • Proven experience editing in Adobe Premiere

  • Previous esports/gaming industry experience a plus

  • Don't be a weird sketch-ball

Apply:

Interested parties can email a resume and reel to Travis ( at ) stateoftheleague.com with the headline "YOUTUBE EDITOR CANDIDATE - [NAME]."

Feel free to include any references within the esports industry, especially if you think we might know them. Also, please provide context on your strengths as an editor (long-form documentary, short-form comedic, etc.).
